1.0 Introduction
This document specify the complete list of supported/unsupported data source.
If you want to learn how to use a data source with your unified database, check first the FD_AddDataSource function in the API documentation.
For FIDAL developer: If you are interested to work on the implementation of a new data source driver, you are more than welcome to contribute. A read-only data source can be implemented by simply providing 10 well defined functions (Open, Close, GetData etc...). See "fd_source.h" for more information.
2.0 Supported data source

| Yahoo! | FD_YAHOO_WEB | Free Historical data provided by Yahoo!. Includes a mechanism to maintain an index of most available symbols. |
| Yahoo! | FD_YAHOO_ONE_SYMBOL | Same as FD_YAHOO_WEB except it does not come with an index. User must add the symbol one at the time. |
| Simulator | FD_SIMULATOR | Generate a pre-defined artificial database in memory. Used for doing development and testing. |
3.0 Not (yet) supported data source
With time, we hope many of these data source will be integrated within FIDAL. Volunteers to work on any of these are very welcome.

| QP2 | No work done yet. Can be supported only on windows. Quote Plus provides a windows DLL. |
| WalMaster | French Technical Analysis software http://www.walmaster.com Info on the file format, including VB source: Waltools_0_16.zip |
| TC2000 | Can be supported only on windows. You will need to separately install the free DLL provided by your data provider. |
